Sandy Hill Elementary
The Jenison Public Education Foundation has funded and partnered in the annual author visit, technology in the form of document cameras, materials to aid in the study of energy for 6th graders, a “Storytown in the Library” program, new science curriculum for all 3rd-6th graders, and the district-wide Missoula Children’s Theatre--all of these great projects for Sandy Hill kids!
Students in Thomas Jonker’s THIRD GRADE class are having fun with their new USA rug. The rug, which helps bring to life the third grade curriculum by detailing all 50 states and capitols, was purchased with funds from a grant from the Foundation. The rug comes with great materials, fun ideas, and will be long-lasting. This is a great example of a project the Foundation likes to fund as it ties to curriculum but is extraordinary, too.
