Supporting EducationChallenging Children

The Jenison Public Education Foundation is made up of business, professional, and educational leaders from the Jenison community. Many Foundation Board members have children who have attended or are presently attending Jenison Public Schools, or they are closely associated with the school district in some way. The Board members have all had the opportunity to see "up close" the time, care, and commitment of the Jenison staff, and are proud to support the efforts of teachers and students in the Jenison schools.

Since our beginning in 1995, the Foundation has funded ninety-eight projects which have impacted students of all ages in Jenison. Use the links below to visit our "Past Projects" and "Current Projects" pages to learn the details of all of them.

The Foundation has had a part in supporting many programs, including the Eco-Bus program, the Missoula Children's Theatre program, two different literacy programs, a violence prevention program, as well as bringing sculpture to the art program, and helping handicapped children work in the Jenison community.

The Jenison Public Education Foundation:

We are the new Science Curriculum for Grades 3-6 that impacts over 1200 kids!
We are 40 new microscopes at the Junior High School.
We are part of a student's experience on stage at the Missoula Theater.
We are an aquarium in the Media Center at Pinewood Elementary School.
We are building literacy skills at Bursley Elementary School.
We are climbing walls in the Elementary Schools and the Junior High School.
We are a 4th graders experience with noted actor and musician, Michael Deren.
We are 15 GPS systems to challenge High School students in math, science, and social studies.
We are over 95 projects representing $125,000 in 10 years!

In the future we hope to make an even greater contribution by funding projects which will have a significant impact on children in the Jenison community.
